Components & Materials
Components available in even and odd diameters ranging from 6" to 48" (larger diameters available upon request up to 60" diameter and larger).
Standard components include: Straight Sections, Expansion Joints, Tee's, Elbows, Rain Caps, Roof Penetration components and support members. In addition, virtually any conceivable fitting is available as a special order item.
Standard ducts feature a 304 stainless steel liner and an aluminized steel outer shell. For greater corrosion resistance 316 stainless steel is available for the liner and 304 or 316 stainless steel for the outer shell. For diameters greater than 24", liners are 20 gauge stainless steel and shells are 18 gauge stainless steel. For diameters greater than 36", liners and shells are both 18 gauge stainless steel.
Boilers firing oils heavier than #2 use 316SS for the inner shell. For exterior installations that are not easily accessible for periodic painting, you should consider a 304SS outer shell that will require no maintenance or a 316SS outer shell should be considered for corrosive environments.
Listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) under file number MH17739 for use as a 1400°F Chimney, a 1000°F Building Heating Appliance Chimney for positive pressures to 60"WC and for Grease Duct.
